The Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace Dillard Basset has revealed photos of her precious newborn son, Jett Maxwell Lee Bassett.

The 37-year-old singer and reality TV star shared heart-melting images one month shy after her delivery on Oct. 3 during an exclusive feature and photoshoot with PEOPLE, which were taken earlier this month on Nov. 8.

Sitting beside her husband Chris Bassett, 46, the couple sported casual matching outfits, blue jeans, and white t-shirts, as Candiace fed her little son milk from a bottle. The Bravo star was all smiles during the sweet shoot. One photo captured her sitting in a chair, holding baby Jett as she stared at his face with admiration.

“He is just the cutest little thing,” Candiace told PEOPLE during her interview with the outlet. “Chris and I couldn’t be happier. It’s so cliché to say, but he’s brought such joy to our lives in ways I never would have been able to describe before. It’s pure love!”

The first-time mom has already envisioned the adventures they are going to have together.

“Throughout my pregnancy, when I would talk to him in my stomach, I would say, ‘I can’t wait to see who you’re going to be.’ And that’s been the joy in my heart that’s continued after his birth. It’s exciting to think about. I’m so ready for a lifetime of being on the sidelines, cheering him on.”

The name Jett holds deep significance for Candiace and her husband.

Already destined for greatness, Jett’s first name, which means “excellence” and “abundance” in Hebrew, sets the tone for his future. The little one has two middle names—because, as Candiace puts it, “I’m extra.” One of them, Lee, is a tribute to her father’s middle name.

“The meaning of his name was really important to me,” the Atlanta-bred star said. “Naming him took longer than I thought. I had been throwing names out to Chris the entire pregnancy and most of the ones I liked he was like, “Those sound like nepo baby names.’ And I was like, ‘Why are you just trying to kill my vibe?’ But Chris agreed with Jett. He was like, ‘Jett’s a cool name, he’s going to be a cool kid. They can call him J.B.’ ”

According to Bravo, Candiace and Chris welcomed their newborn son through in vitro fertilization (IVF), a type of assisted reproductive technology (ART) used to help individuals or couples conceive a child. Fortunately, after a successful egg retrieval, the couple was able to harvest six embryos. It wasn’t long before Jett was brought into the world.

Baby Jett joins big brothers Owen, 22, Mateo, 14, and sister Naia, 10—Chris’ three children from two previous relationships. While Candiace has embraced her role as a “bonus mom” to Chris’ kids, she’s thrilled to finally welcome a little one of her own with her husband after nine years together.

“Oh, I wish I started sooner, because I already want more,” Candiace added. “And that’s a shocking feeling to admit because I hesitated and was afraid and doubted myself for so long. All of those circumstances around becoming a mom, like being pregnant, raising a child, etc.? It really scared me. But it’s been everything and more. I love it.”
