Raise your hand if you’re as obsessed with DIY TikTok as I am. Guilty. My ‘For You’ section consists of hair reviews, Gemini zodiac readings, and DIY holiday decor tips. I was minutes into the endless scroll when I realized we skipped right over Thanksgiving and went straight to Jesus’ birthday. But I’m not mad at it. I love Christmas and love home decor so the combination of these two bring me much joy.

I’ve discovered the cutest cabinet bow trend, how to turn my festive display towels into a bow, and how to repurpose old boxes for a tall gift box display. The great thing about these viral DIY tips is that they are pretty much foolproof, budget-friendly and really bring the holiday spirit.

Keep scrolling for five easy DIY holiday decor tips from TikTok.

Cabinet Bows

Cabinet bow decor has taken over TikTok. This DIY project is simple with a big reward. All you need is ribbon, tape, and a bow.

DIY Directions:

Cut a strip of ribbon and measure it against the width and length of your cabinet. Tape down the ribbon to the inside of the cabinet making sure all the strips are aligned. Finish it off with a big red bow.

Decorative Towels With A Twist

We just found a new use for those decorative towels on the stove arm, turn them into a bow! You’ll need two decorative towels (I love that this user used one solid red towel and one with a festive print).

Gift Boxes

With over 11 million views on TikTok, this Dollar Tree decor video has everyone transforming their old boxes into a pleasant display. And it couldn’t be any simpler. Grab some boxes, a broomstick, wrapping paper, bows, and a weight.

DIY Directions:

Cut holes measuring the width of a broomstick into the center of the boxes. Wrap boxes in festive wrapping paper. Stack boxes vertically on the broomstick. Use a foam block in the bottom box to secure the end of the broomstick. Add a bow

Front Door

Greet your guests with this luxurious red door bow on your door. This DIY Christmas decor requires minimal effort. TikToker @theycallme_posh adorned her front door with 12 yards of red tulle. The fabric cost around $20, and the additional red bow was $5.

Winter Scene Display

Who knew Epsom Salt could go so far? Create a winter scene in your living room with this fun holiday DIY. Head to your local Dollar Tree and pick up their pipe trees, a vase, and some Epsom Salt.

DIY Directions:

Fill the bottom of the glass vase with Epsom Salt. Position the trees and other figurines in the pretend snow. Find a safe place and set it on display.
