Beyonce is doing what it takes to drive her fans to the polls. Five days post Halloween, the award-winning singer took to her Instagram account to show off a voting-inspired costume featuring none other than Pamela Anderson, circa 1999.
Queen Bey revived Anderson’s look from the 1999 VMAs and along with her film Barbwire. In the first post, the 43-year-old artist sings the lyrics to her song, “Bodyguard” from the Cowboy Carter album, in a video montage of herself dressed as Anderson during iconic moments in her career. And while the video is entertaining, there is a subtle call to action for people to go out and vote.
In the second post, the singer continued to pay homage to the actress clad in her 1999 VMAs red carpet look, along with a promotional poster from Barbwire and her curve-induced version of Anderson in Baywatch—which Bey hilariously dubbed Beywatch.

Beyonce said Halloween is over when she says it is, and these are the only visuals you’re getting this year. The mother of three has utilized her platform to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris and advocate for women’s rights. This election has the power to set us back a century if the wrong person is elected.
Queen Bey is one of the many celebrities speaking out about the importance of the election, why our voices matter, and our power to change the trajectory of the next four years and beyond. People say Beyonce doesn’t speak up often, but the truth is she always steps up when it’s important.
What do you think? Are you feeling Bey’s creative way of inviting folks to the polls?
