The musical icon became the queen of the holiday season when she released her hit song, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” 30 years ago. In honor of the song’s 30th anniversary and the upcoming holiday season, Madame Tussauds created the “Seasons of New York” exhibit at the museum’s Times Square location, featuring Mrs. Christmas herself, Mariah Carey.
In a video posted to Madam Tussauds’s Instagram page, Carey and them babies walk through the museum, admiring the life-size wax figure that looks exactly like the singer.
In the video, Carey details of her twin wax figure. ” We wanted to make an “All I Want For Christmas” all year round experience,” she explains.
Madame Tussauds is known for crafting many wax figures, and they usually miss the mark. This time around, the museum captured the essence of the 55-year-old songbird, down to her beauty mole. The wax figure wore a red Marilyn Monroe-inspired dress with matching open-toe sandals.
