“In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.” While that Mean Girls quote will forever be true, Halloween costumes have much evolved from the typical sexy nurse getup. Halloween spirit has been rich across the net with social media apps like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook giving content creators a platform to share their elaborate and creative costumes. And celebrities have gotten in on the fun. With the coin and connections, celebrity costumes are one of our favorite parts of the ghoulish holiday.

Celebrity Costumes 2024

Every year, we count on certain celebs to go hard with their costumes. We can always expect Ciara to slay her costume and give us a full-on production. And we say costumes we mean plural because she starts serving days before the 31st. She already debuted her Naomi Campbell costume and her runway walk. Saweetie is another celeb who goes all out for the holiday. The queen of Halloween, Heidi Klum, never disappoints with her over-the-top creations. Last year, she was a life-size worm. Kim Kardashian goes all out with spooky decor turning her home into a haunted house. Daytime talk show hosts like Sherri Shepherd, Tamron Hall, and The Today Show anchors turn it up for TV. And who can forget about Janelle Monae, whose Grinch costume looks like it jumped from the script of a Dr. Suess book and onto our screens?

In an interview with TheHollywoodReporter, Monae opened up about being dubbed a HalloQueen, “First of all, that’s a major compliment so let’s start there. To my writer’s and creative mind, the title HalloQueen is new and sounds cool because it’s a clever play on Halloween. In this instance, I’m humbled either way and not complaining.”

In an out-of-this-world coincidence, Janelle Monae and Heidi Klum were both ET.

This year, we expect to see many celebrities dress up like other celebrities, clever costumes like the influencer who elongated her chin to become Natalie Nunn, and glamorous costumes like Coi Leray, Halle Bailey, and Tyla giving us Halle Berry. We anticipate dozens of Beyonce costumes, spooky Beetlejuice looks, and characters like Spiderman, Harley Quinn, Barbie, and Joker. Keep scrolling to see this year’s best celebrity costumes.
