Following in the footsteps of 44,000 Black women who raised over a million dollars in three hours, 45,000+ Black men assembled on Streamyard to match that energy. The Black Men For Harris call, hosted by Roland Martin’s Black Star Network, raised $1.3 million from 1,700 donors in four hours. Led by Martin and co-hosted by Bakari Sellers, the #WinWithBlackMen stream has garnered nearly 200,000 views on Youtube.

The goal of the call was to inform the public about VP Harris, encourage Black men to donate to the cause, and mobilize to encourage other Black men to register to vote.

“We know last night our sisters with Win With Black Women raised over $1.5 million and brothers we know we can uh um either match that or exceed that tonight. We want to make sure we have our sister’s backs,” said Quentin James, co-founder of The Collective PAC.

Pastor Jamal Bryant began the stream with a prayer. Roland Martin then addressed the thousands of men in the room. “We have 106 days to make sure that black men are a part of this journey. 106 days to make it very clear that we are not going anywhere. We are here right now 106 days to remind the country that you cannot make progress without black men and that’s the reason why when we put this out today.”
